Ornamental Tattoos

The ornamental tattoo style is defined by decorative patterns, fine lines, symmetry, and geometric figures. Ornamental art has origins in the Roman empire and can be seen in the intricate design work of Roman architecture, as well as in the extremely detailed paintings of artwork like the Sistine Chapel. Oftentimes, ornamental tattoos imitates wood carvings, using images like flowers and intricate combinations of shapes. This style is greatly used to help accentuate the shape of one’s body.

Photography Examples: Photo Do’s and Don’ts

A photo allows me to see if I need to work around existing tattoos you may have and ensures I can design a custom piece that works with your body. Please be sure the image is clear, and the camera is parallel with the location of your body you would like the tattoo to be. This is best done by having the photo taken by another person. Please avoid mirror selfies and flexing, and be sure to stand in a natural position.
