Traditional Japanese Tattoos

The symbols and motifs used in Japanese tattoos are inspired by Japanese mythology, folklore, and art. Common themes include protection, bravery, and good luck. Because traditional Japanese tattoos are meant to tell a story and convey deeper themes, they are usually very large.

Photography Examples: Photo Do’s and Don’ts

A photo allows me to see if I need to work around existing tattoos you may have and ensures I can design a custom piece that works with your body. Please be sure the image is clear, and the camera is parallel with the location of your body you would like the tattoo to be. This is best done by having the photo taken by another person. Please avoid mirror selfies and flexing, and be sure to stand in a natural position.
